Fayette TV, WMBS Team Up

By Dave Slusarick

You tune in to WMBS-AM 590 to hear live broadcasts of local basketball. You read the scores and stats in the Herald Standard.  Now, you can catch every jump-shot, lay-up, and three-point shot on your TV, as Fayette TV presents re-broadcasts of high school basketball.

Thanks to a group of businesses and individuals that made an investment to put Uniontown Red Raider Basketball on the air, you can now re-live those exciting moments on the court as we spotlight our student athletes.  Our generous sponsors include: Attorney Joseph M. George, Campbell Heating and Air Conditioning, Century Construction, Kezmarsky Funeral Home, PuroClean Owner/Operator P.J. Kumor, and Uniontown Area School Board member Lloyd Williams.

Every game features lively play-by-play and color commentary from veteran broadcasters Brian Mroziak and Steve Superick of WMBS. Brian and Steve provide expert analysis of the games, including pre-game and post-game reports, and Fayette TV is grateful for their partnership.

This week, we’re devoting our primetime block of programming, beginning at 8 p.m., to high school basketball! On Monday evening, catch the battle of cross-town rivals:  Laurel Highlands and Uniontown. This Tuesday, watch Uniontown’s matchup with the Colonials of Albert Gallatin.  Wednesday’s basketball action is between Uniontown and Greensburg Salem, and Thursday, you can watch the Red Raiders take on the Belle Vernon Leopards.

On Friday, we take a break from basketball to bring you a new episode of Going LIVE with FCTV (airing at 8 and 10 p.m.) brought to you by the Fayette County Buy Local Network. This episode is devoted entirely to young talent in Fayette County, including an update on the unique Main Street Mosaic project, coordinated by the Fayette Young Professionals!

It’s back to the basketball court on Saturday, as we kick off the action with the Penn State Fayette vs. Penn State Lehigh Valley game at 8 a.m., then bring you a re-broadcast of all the games mentioned above, beginning every two hours starting at 10 a.m.

Fayette TV wishes our student athletes the best in their academic and athletic endeavors!
