The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Basketball Championships, featuring four tournaments in men’s and women’s basketball, has returned to Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus, for the fifth straight year in 2013, bringing over 30 teams to campus and thousands of visitors to town.
Prior to the tournament, Fayette TV presented two episodes of “The USCAA Tournament Buzz,” a newsmagazine-style show hosted by Brian Mroziak and Steve Superick of WMBS-AM 590 radio, and featuring an inside look at the tournament brackets, facilities, and surrounding community events. As the Championships got underway, Fayette TV provided coverage of the Skills Competition, featuring a free-throw shooting contest, three-point shooting contest, and slam dunk contest. Fayette TV will also be on campus to cover the Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions men’s and women’s tournament games against Vermont Tech and Central Maine CC, respectively. Following the Championships, a final episode of “The USCAA Tournament Buzz” will air, providing a comprehensive wrap-up of this year’s tournament and looking forward to next year’s event.
